Conor Cusack

Artist Manager / ie:music (UK)

Conor Cusack

Conor Cusack is an artist manager from Dublin. His music career started in retail as a teenager, when he got a job selling cheap ABBA LP's in a second-hand record stall. While studying Psychology at university, he founded five-piece Indie guitar band Spies, whose music went on to receive plaudits from The Guardian, NME and more. He set up his own imprint “Trout Records” to release Spies’ records, because no one else would. Through this endeavour, he came into contact with a lot of exciting local acts that joined the fast-expanding roster (Paddy Hanna, Myles Manley, O Emperor etc).

Saint Sister were initially approached to join the label, but as the duo had no manager, he stepped in to help them in the interim. Five years later they are still working together and count a successful debut album release, an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and several worldwide tours amongst their achievements.

A chance encounter with fellow Irishman, Stephen O’Reilly in 2017, led to an invitation to join ie:music, the legendary music management company, who have represented industry giants such as Robbie Williams for the past two decades. Today, Conor has his own roster, working still with Saint Sister and joined by Berlin-based soul outfit People Club and mixer/ producer Benedikt MacIsaac
